All Kerala Legal Metrology Licensees and Employees Union

The AKLMLEU (All Kerala Legal Metrology Licensees Union) is a state-based organization established in 1996 by former licensees in the Kollam district. Its mission is to protect, stabilize, and promote the employment rights of legal metrology licensees. The organization is affiliated with the AITUC trade union, and Comrade Indusekharan Nair, a dedicated AITUC leader who has served as its backbone since its founding, currently serves as president.
          Since its inception, AKLMLEU has held four governing body elections, and through persistent efforts and organizational strength, it has secured numerous rights for licensees. In today’s evolving landscape, the organization and its leadership remain committed to advocating for the role and rights of licensees within the legal metrology department and consumer protection sectors, ensuring that these rights are recognized and upheld in a timely manner.   
           AKLMLEU stands as the only organization in Kerala where licensees from all categories unite, transcending distinctions of religion or political affiliation, to work toward common goals.
